Jammu & Kashmir: CRPF jawan, child killed in terrorist attack in Anantnag

One CRPF personnel and a child were killed in a terrorist attack on security forces in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

One Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a child were killed in a terrorist attack on the security forces in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) today.

The terror attack on a CRPF party took place in the Bijbehara area of Anantnag district. The militants attacked the CRPF personnel which was deployed for highway security, CRPF said in a statement.

A child and a CRPF personnel were injured in the terrorist attack on the CRPF. They were taken to a hospital in Bijbehara hospital where they were declared dead.

According to the reports, the child, killed in the terror attack in Anantnag, was six-year-old.

Meanwhile, three terrorists have been killed in the encounter at Chewa Ular in the Tral area of Awantipora, Pulwama district. The encounter is still underway.
