CBSE postpones CTET July 2020 exam, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal tweets the news


CBSE has decided to postpone the upcoming CTET July 2020 examination that was scheduled for July 5.

CTET July 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has postponed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020 exam. CTET July 2020 exam was scheduled for July 5, 2020, with over 30 lakh candidates waiting to appear for it. Further, the board has also cancelled the pending CBSE Class 12 board exams that were scheduled to begin from July 1. New date for CTET 2020 will be announced soon, therefore, candidates are requested to keep an eye on the official website i.e. ctet.nic.in

Here’s what the official notice read:

“As notified earlier, the 14th edition of Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020 scheduled to be held on July 5, 2020, is postponed. The next date of examination will be intimated when the situation is more conducive to the conduct of examinations. All the candidates registered for CTET July 2020 are hereby informed that for any updates they may visit CTET official website i.e. ctet.nic.in regularly.”

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank took his twitter handle to tweet the news

About CTET exam:

The CTET exam was to be conducted in two parts Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 was for those candidates who will become teachers for Classes 1 to 5, and Part 2 was for those candidates who will become teachers for Classes 6 to 8. The exam contains 150 questions that are meant to be solved in two-and-a-half hours. Questions will be of one mark each, and there will be no negative marking.
